The UIL now requires a current physical for all students participating in marching band statewide. The HEB ISD physical form was sent home with students and is also attached to this email and available on the website. Many clinics offer low-cost or no-cost physicals. (Ask for a “sports physical”) In fact, CareNow offers $20 cash pay sports physicals through August 31 (https://www.carenow.com/patient-services/medical-tests/sports-physical.dot). In addition, many insurance policies allow for a physical for no out-of-pocket cost. The signed and completed physical form needs to be on file with the band directors by August 1.
